WHO WE ARE:
Established in 2015, Studio Mork provides expertise in the design of our shared built-environment. The Studio considers design in a wholistic manner, believing that all aspects must be considered in relation to one another—from larger regional considerations or estate plans, to smaller, though equally significant (nuanced) building details. As a design firm specializing in traditional architecture, we work to integrate our client's wishes for modern, livable, and meaningful spaces with timeless design principles based on simple materials and forms.
WHAT WE DO:
We are passionate about placemaking and the art of design—creating spaces that are both beautiful and meaningful. With an appreciation for modern lifestyles, and a sensitivity to the ways in which well considered design contributes to the sense of place and belonging, Studio Mork endeavors to integrate the needs of our clients with elegant, timeless designs. In so doing, we seek to create legacy projects, speaking to the long term aspirations of our clients—timeless designs inspired by traditional forms . The Studio partners with individual clients and developers to create distinctive spaces by leveraging the unique aspects of each project in a way that highlights both the vision of our clients and the individuality of each design. The firm's work ranges from single family residential to commercial & mixed-use projects.
WHY WE DO IT:
Community is a central focus of the work Studio Mork. Because design has the ability to contribute to the experiences and lives of the ones it serves, we seek to integrate sociable aspects into our work in order to encourage presence in place. We believe in walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods, and the social benefits afforded by the casual interactions and rootedness inherent to these places. For both people and the environment, Studio Mork designs places which endeavor to endear the shared experiences of those who use spaces we design in the belief that well considered design enriches the lives of those who experience it.
